Vibe Check:
If you are looking for a restaurant with excellent service, don’t go to Ruby Tuesday. We wandered into a desolate landscape filled with empty seats, not a single staff member to be found. Eventually, we were seated–but that did not mean we were served. Staff avoided eye contact like we were the ghosts of angry past patrons. We waited, waited and waited some where. The restaurant’s music began to melt our brains as the hypnotizing five minute Christmas Ruby Tuesday’s cult theme song played on repeat. And finally, we were given menus. But, they were the wrong ones.
The Food:
I ordered a shrimp mango salad; however, the shrimp was in short supply. It felt like a chore to scavenge for the smallest bite of shrimp. And there must have been a salad dressing shortage too. The mango was tasty. The mint chocolate shake was a brief highlight. My father and brother both ordered burgers and were very happy with the quality and quantity of their meals.
Location:
The restaurant’s situated in a mall. Its location was confusing and involved a separate elevator, but the restaurant was clean and empty. It’s also located fairly close to the Times Square MTR.
Price:
It was very expensive for no shrimp and no salad dressing.
Final Ranking:
2 Shrimp out of 20 Lettuce.
