Address:
Ground Shop, 13, 19 Leighton Rd, Causeway Bay
Vibe Check:
Located in Causeway Bay, Mother of Pizza is a retro–style restaurant serving pizza as their signature dish. As soon as you walk into this stylish eatery, you are met with a classic street fighter arcade machine. While you’re being taken to your seat, it’ll only take you a quick look around at the restaurant to get its vibe. The walls are plastered with Bruce Lee posters, colorful skateboards, and even Bob Marley posters. The sound of sizzling pans and the mouthwatering aroma of parmesan cheese meeting crispy crusts offers a delightful setting. Although your sense of smell and sight are being treated, your sense of hearing will be tortured, as Mother of Pizza’s playlist repeats the same artist and the same five songs.
The Food:
If you go to Mother of Pizza searching for a small pizza, you’ll be making a costly mistake. Mother of Pizza serves the most colossal pizza one can imagine. Although there are a wide range of options, I recommend the double cheese pizza. You are served shredded cheddar on top of an already cheesy pizza, making a rich and delicious meal. As for drinks, non-alcoholic options are limited. The options being standard sodas and one special drink, being a smoothie with 3 flavour options. Although drink options are limited, the quality makes up for it, as the smoothies alone are a good reason to come.
Location:
Mother of Pizza is placed within 10 minutes of Times Square and its MTR station, making for a quick and easy get away from shopping or travel.
Service:
As far as service goes, Mother of Pizza keeps up, and you won’t be waiting too long for your food or drinks. Employees are kind and you are seated right away.
Price:
Mother of Pizzas is considerably expensive, costing over $500HKD for three people.
