Last Friday’s annual CAP fair boasted over 60 clubs in attendance, marking it as the most expansive CAP fair to date. “It was very lively, and students could be seen interacting with everybody,” Claire Z., USSC co-president, stated. “It was a good way for students to explore their interests and join new clubs or find people that have their shared interests.”
The CAP Fair is a yearly event hosted at CDNIS which aims to introduce students to the wide variety of clubs our school has to offer. It provides an opportunity for students to connect with future leaders and explore their passions alongside like-minded peers. The CAP Fair routinely consists of games, prizes, and activities to make the experience as engaging as possible, and this year’s was no exception. “I saw some clubs had very creative approaches, and the candy was a good incentive too.” USSC co-president Kimaya R. commented. Notable events included the Athletic Council’s vertical jump test, Girl Talk’s period cramp simulator, and Animal Welfare’s weightlifting challenge.
In the words of Mr. Power, our Upper School Vice Principal of Student Life & Leadership, “Each table turned into its own inspiring world, and what I like most is just witnessing the student agency at work. I really hope that every student gets to sign up for the clubs that will fuel their passions and interests. […] It was a powerful reminder of what great things are in store for our over 60 clubs in the High School!”
Each year, clubs continue to improve their booths in hopes of attracting bigger crowds, and this year’s CAP Fair was no exception to the rousing spectacles we all know and love. Judging from the overwhelming energy on Friday, it’s clear that the 2025 CAP fair has been a resounding success!
