The Class of 2025 recently celebrated their achievements at CDNIS through a spotlight event. As IB students and aspiring global citizens, they showcased not only academic excellence but also diverse talent and community spirit.
The event’s highlight was a silent auction and an inspiring speech delivered by David Begbie from the Crossroads Foundation, a global non-profit organization that aligns with the students’ values of connecting resources to those in need worldwide. Furthermore, the student’s creativity was on full display during the talent show, which featured mesmerizing performances such as singing by Cassia, Abraham and Jayden’s violin duet accompanied by Lauren on the piano, a thrilling taekwondo demonstration, the energetic band Posercore, and the virtuosic piano playing of Aden and Ethan.
In addition to the talent showcase, the event provided a platform for students to share their remarkable experiences. Sofia and Celeste captivated the audience with insights from their impactful service trip to Nepal, while Bosco, Abraham, Bryan, Anson, and Leo engaged the crowd with their exciting participation in a Blockchain competition in Amsterdam. The night concluded with an open exploration, a testament to the students’ ingenuity. Interactive stations, including mini golf putting, a time capsule, a parent mural, IB exam quizzes, caricature, mini basketball, and more, allowed the audience to immerse themselves in the students’ diverse interests. This celebration not only highlighted the Class of 2025’s talents but also fostered a stronger sense of community and school spirit, additionally raising awareness for a worthy cause through the partnership with Crossroads Foundation.
The event was initially envisioned by grade representatives Ryan and Lauren, but with the guidance and support of the head of grade Mr. Power, the grade was able to bring this vision to life and create a potential legacy project for future students at CDNIS. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came to support the Class of 2025 during this special event. Your presence made it all the more meaningful and memorable for students.
