CDNIS is delighted to announce the opening of its newest expansion, the Early Years Centre, located at The Southside mall. Only a short walk from the main campus, the Early Years Centre features CDNIS’s half-day Early Years 1 Programme, alongside the new addition of an exciting bilingual Nursery Programme for 2-year-olds. Leading this fantastic new centre is Kenji Noguchi, known as Mr. Kenji to his students, bringing over 15 years of expertise in early childhood education.
The newly established Nursery programme features a bilingual curriculum that seamlessly integrates English and Mandarin. This thematic approach emphasises social and emotional development alongside readiness for school, encouraging children to engage actively and to explore. Ms. Karen Chau, the Lead Nursery Teacher, plays a vital role in developing this enriching curriculum and fostering a friendly environment for the young learners. The centre is thoughtfully designed to cater to the needs of its students, featuring an innovative teamLab room and a dynamic inquiry area, showcasing the institution’s commitment to creativity and exploration. “The Early Years Centre aims to provide a nurturing environment that supports holistic development, helping our young learners build a strong foundation for their educational journey,” Mr. Noguchi shares.
Additionally, the Early Years Centre is effectively integrated with the existing CDNIS school, facilitating a smooth transition into the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP). This connection offers a solid foundation for the maturing learners, preparing them for success as they advance through the broader curriculums offered at CDNIS. Mr. Noguchi highlights the importance of empowering students with the skills and confidence necessary to tackle future academic challenges with enthusiasm and resilience.
At the Early Years Centre, key values such as fostering a love for learning, enhancing social-emotional skills, and promoting bilingual fluency are central to its mission. The centre is dedicated to cultivating an encouraging and joyful learning environment that inspires curiosity and exploration. “Our goal is to instill confidence and a sense of belonging in every child, setting them on a path for lifelong learning,” Mr. Noguchi concludes.
